If you're staying at a Harbour Hotel over the coronation weekend and would like to join in the celebrations, we've done the hard work for you and found the best local street parties, big screenings and events.

Brighton

Jubilee Square in Brighton has been selected as an official screening site for the coronation. This a free and public event and it's just a ten-minute walk from Harbour Hotel Brighton. There will be food and drink stalls to aid the celebrations, plus room if you'd like to take your own picnic (why not ask our Crew to make one up for you?)

Bristol

Bristol Cathedral is hosting a live screening of the coronation ceremony in the city centre, just an eight-minute walk from Harbour Hotel Bristol. You might also be interested in the screening on a six-metre screen at Bristol & Bath Science Park. A bar will be serving up refreshing drinks and there will also be ice cream and food stalls. The Science Park is around a 20-minute drive from the hotel.

Chichester

Head to the picturesque Chichester Cathedral Green where you can grab a deck chair to sit back and relax in as the coronation is screened on a large outdoor screen. There will also be themed arts, crafts, games and face painting for children. The Green is just a six-minute walk from Harbour Hotel Chichester.

Christchurch

Harbour Hotel Christchurch is hosting a Best of British Coronation BBQ. As well as a glass of Pimms and a delicious burger, there will be live music from a saxophonist and DJ and a screening of the Coronation in the Waterford Suite included in your ticket for £25.

Fowey

Guests can gather at Harbour Hotel Fowey to watch the ceremony while overlooking the beautiful blue estuary.

If you want to join a garden party we recommend booking a ticket (£5 on top of the usual entrance fee) for The Lost Gardens of Heligan Celebration Garden Party. The ceremony will be streamed live on the Steward's House lawn along with a BBQ, and after the ceremony, there will be entertainment from an inspirational group of singers from across Cornwall. They will sing traditional sea shanties as well as original songs telling the stories of Cornish women. You'll be able to pick up plenty of local treats and picnic items from the chefs at the Lost Gardens, including Pimms, G&T and Prosecco. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are around a half-an-hour drive from Harbour Hotel Fowey

In town, a Coronation Flotilla will be setting off down the river from Lerryn at approximately 7pm.

Guildford

Hang out in HarBAR Guildford with a pint, glass of bubbly or classic cocktail while the coronation screens on a TV.

The University of Surrey is inviting the public to watch this historic moment together on a big screen by the lake. Food and drink will be available to purchase from a number of vendors on site or attendees are welcome to bring a picnic. The lake is around a half-an-hour walk from Harbour Hotel Guildford.

Padstow

Guests can gather in the Marine Room or Boat Room of Harbour Hotel Padstow to watch all the pomp and circumstance. There is also a screening being held at Wheal Jubilee Parc, a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

Richmond

The Hampton Court Palace Gardens will be open for free for the King's coronation with a free screening in the East Front Gardens. You can reach Hampton Court Palace in around half an hour by car or bus from Harbour Hotel Richmond.

Otherwise, make the most of the buzz of being in the capital for the main event and head to the procession route. Soak up the atmosphere along the route from Westminster Abbey to The Mall and to Buckingham Palace - where you might even catch a wave from the balcony.

Screens have been announced across the capital. There are two in West London at Walpole Park, Ealing, and Holland Park, Kensington and Chelsea, but you might also like to stay in Central London for the day. There will be four screens in Hyde Park, one in Green Park and one in St. James's Park.

Salcombe

After the ceremony, cream tea will be served in the White Strand car park from 3pm with complimentary scones, jam and cream. At 4pm a Great British fancy dress competition will be judged by The Winking Prawn and at 5pm a flotilla of boats dressed for the event will parade down the estuary. The best viewing points will be at Normandy Landing and Cliff Gardens, within easy reach of Harbour Hotel Salcombe and Harbour Beach Club.

Sidmouth

Guests can gather in the Connaught Suite to catch a screening of the coronation ceremony at Harbour Hotel Sidmouth

Southampton

Head to West Quay Esplanade to watch the ceremony on a big screen surrounded by Southampton's historic walls. No need to bring a picnic mat, there will be deckchairs and a bar to keep you refreshed throughout the afternoon. West Quay is about a 20-minute walk or five-minute drive from Harbour Hotel Southampton.

A short train ride or drive away from Harbour Hotel Southampton, the ancient city of Winchester is hosting a coronation screening inside the magnificent cathedral. Winchester is a wonderful city to spend a few hours wandering around its cobbled streets, shopping in its independent boutiques and markets and admiring historical sites such as the medieval cathedral and town hall, King Arthur's Round Table and Winchester College, one of the oldest schools in the country.

St Ives

Harbour Hotel St Ives will be screening the ceremony in the bar for all guests to watch. Alternatively, take a walk down to the harbour, the only place in the UK where you can watch the coronation on the beach! You'll be able to grab a takeaway from a local business and take in the atmosphere, as the town will be decorated for the occasion.
