Meetings & private events work so much better in great venues, in great locations. Set in an architecturally stunning, Grade-II listed building in the heart of the city, this 42-room luxury boutique hotel is a tranquil haven in the heart of this bustling and energetic city.
Designed by renowned architect William Bruce Gingell, and inspired by Sansovino’s 16th Century Library of St Mark in the Piazzatta at Venice, the building dates back to circa 1850 when it was home to two former banks. Immaculately restored, with stunning contemporary interiors and period features throughout the hotel.
The hotel has three exceptional meeting and event rooms to choose from, atmospherically set within different operational rooms of the old bank, that can accommodate almost any sized meeting or event. Sansovino Hall, the grandest of them all and Bristol’s most impressive events room, is a spectacular setting for large events of up to 400 guests.
For before and after your event, we can offer attendees discounted room rates for those wishing to stay, access to the luxury spa and gym, and a selection of great, locally-themed activities and experiences. It’s walking distance to most of Bristol's attractions and situated opposite St. Nicholas Markets. The Sansovino Hall
Inspired by Sansovino’s 16th Century Library of St Mark in the Piazzatta at Venice, this former banking hall of the Lloyds Bank building, with magnificent skylight and opulently detailed ceiling, is a spectacular setting for large conferences, meetings and events.
The Vault
Set within the old banking vaults, and accessed by walking down a candle lit staircase, The Vault is a unique and atmospheric event space for 60 guests seated or 80 guests for drinks. There is also the option of dividing the far section, to create an independent boardroom or catering area.
The Blue Room
An impressive yet intimate space, The Blue Room was the original Bank Manager’s office for the Lloyds Banking Hall in 1854, with distinct masonry work, high ceilings and stylish décor and design. It’s ideal for private dinners, meetings, and small receptions.
