This pleasant 2-hour fishing expedition takes our guests out to sea to (hopefully) catch a mackerel. The boat departs from the picturesque town of Mevagissey, a 40-minute ferry ride from Fowey. (We’d recommend allowing some time after your trip to take a stroll around Mevagissey itself – it’s lovely).
If (when) you catch a fish, you have the option of bringing it back to the hotel to be freshly cooked. Even if you don’t catch anything, it’s a very pleasant few hours out on the water, looking back at the coastline.
All equipment you need is provided but bring warm clothing, even on warm days, as it can be cooler at sea. And remember, on request, we can pack you a luxury mini-picnic to take with you in a backpack.
