A full renovation in 2019 has added vibrant, colourful and contemporary interiors throughout, inspired by Fowey’s rich history of exotic world travel. Most bedrooms and public areas of the hotel enjoy stunning estuary and harbour views. The newly restored exterior features a stunning wrap-around terrace, two-tiered gardens, an upper garden situated next to the hotel and a lower garden right at the water’s edge.

The hotel’s beautiful main event room, The Spinnaker Suite, comes with period features, an abundance of natural light, and stunning harbour views. It’s suitable for wedding ceremonies, wedding breakfast or reception for up to 80 guests. Receptions and photo shoots can be held outside on the terrace or in the upper garden – both with those spectacular, panoramic views – or in the cosy lounge and bar area inside. Photos shoots can also take place in the lower garden by the water.

The hotel is a 60-minute drive from Newquay Airport or a 90-minute drive from Exeter Airport. The nearest train stations are Par and Lostwithiel, each a 10-minute drive away. Parking is available but must be pre-booked and costs £10 per night, spaces are limited and on a first come first serve basis. There is alternative parking at nearby public car parks a few minutes’ walk away, and surrounding residential streets.
