Everything you need to know

The Accommodation Business Improvement District (ABID) initiative is being introduced in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole areas from 1st July 2024. The Local Visitor Charge is a small fee of £2.40 per room per night.

The money raised through the Local Visitor Charge will be used to develop and promote tourism in the area, as well as to help create more things for visitors to do and see. By paying this charge, you'll be contributing to the enhancement of the local area and helping to expand the local visitor economy.

The Local Visitor Charge will be chargeable from 1st July 2024 when staying at paid for accommodation within the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole ABID zone. So, if you stay at Harbour Hotel Christchurch or The Kings Arms Hotel after this date, you will need to pay this small fee per night which will be included in your rate where stated or added to your final bill.
