Ancient Trees at Kingley Vale

Spending time in nature is always a good idea in our books. And the Ancient Trees found at Kingley Vale are quite possibly one the most beautiful places to do so.

Boasting much to see and explore, Kingley Vale is home to a grove of ancient trees which are estimated to be amongst the oldest living things in Britain, and one of the finest yew forests in Western Europe, making it a very rare and pretty amazing spot for an afternoon walk.

The trees aren’t the only sight to be seen, there are plenty of notable birds too, such as green woodpeckers, red kites and buzzards. If you’re an avid birdwatcher, be sure to remember your binoculars.

Nearby you can find more woods including Marden Block and Wildhams Wood.
