The Best Walking/Cycling Routes

Reconnect with nature

We’re incredibly lucky to be surrounded by some of the very best walking anc cycling routes in the country, and whether you choose to meander along for a casual stroll or head out for a real adventure, here are some of our favourite trails perfect for walking or cycling…

Stepper Point

One of the most popular routes, this 5.5 mile walk is accessible for most and provides the most beautiful views of our local coastal scenery without having to climb to great heights. The footpath is clearly marked and can be easily followed, but don’t forget to take a moment to stop and take in the incredible far-reaching views out to Doom Bar. The stone tower that sits on top of Stepper Point is known as the Daymark, which is a true highlight on this walk. If you head off for your adventure when the tide is out, you can walk along the sandy beach at certain points.

Camel Trail

A wonderful and rather famous trail here in Cornwall, the Camel Trail begins right by us at the Harbour and passes through stunning scenery including the areas of Wadebridge, Bodmin and Blisland. A 10 mile round journey perfect for cycling, you can expect to see the most glorious views across the Camel Estuary and secret beaches.

Harbour Cove & Prideaux Place

If you’re looking for an easy walk but with plenty of Padstow views, then give this one a try. Only 3-miles long, the trail will take you along the South West Coast Path northward passting St. Georges’s Cove and the crescent shaped beach Harbour Cove before heading inland via the historic Tudor Mansion, Prideaux Place. The Prideaux family dates back to the 11th century, and are said to descend from William the Conqueror, King Edward I and Queen Eleanor of Castile.
