Celebrating 15 years of The Jetty

Waterside restaurant marks the milestone with limited-edition nostalgic menus throughout January and February

Perched at the water’s edge on Mudeford Quay, The Jetty at Harbour Hotel Christchurch is celebrating its 15th anniversary this winter, marking a decade and a half as one of the town’s best-known waterfront dining destinations.

The Jetty has built its reputation on thoughtful, produce-led cooking and a deep connection to the local area. At the helm is award-winning Chef Patron Alex Aitken, whose hands-on approach and long-standing relationship with regional suppliers continue to shape the restaurant’s menus.

With more than 40 years’ experience in the industry, Aitken is widely regarded as one of the South’s most respected chefs.

His cooking philosophy centres on simplicity, seasonality and letting quality ingredients speak for themselves. From freshly landed seafood to carefully sourced local produce, it is this commitment that has helped The Jetty remain a firm favourite with both locals and visitors alike.

To commemorate the milestone, The Jetty has launched a series of anniversary menus throughout January and February, inviting diners to revisit some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes and enjoy new seasonal specials.

Highlights include a “15 favourites for 15 years” à la carte menu featuring the team’s most-loved dishes over the years, a limited-edition five-course Mini Gastro menu celebrating Jetty classics, and a £20.10 Set Lunch menu, commemorating the year the restaurant first opened in 2010. 

The restaurant’s original signature dish, the Sunday Lunch Beef Wellington, will also return to the menu as part of the anniversary programme.

Reaching 15 years is a proud moment for the whole team. The Jetty has always been about celebrating great local produce, relaxed coastal dining and creating a place people want to return to. These anniversary menus are a nod to where we’ve come from, while still looking forward.

Located within the grounds of Harbour Hotel Christchurch, The Jetty offers an inviting setting for all-day dining, with uninterrupted views across the quay and harbour. 

Menus champion seasonal ingredients, from Alex’s much-loved Twice-Baked Cheese Soufflé to seafood-led dishes such as The Sunday Catch, alongside local oysters, lobster, prawns, and grilled fish.

The anniversary menus will be available for a limited time until the end of February 2026.
