Steamer Point Nature Reserve
Situated just a short drive from us, Steamer Point is a local nature reserve, perfectly positioned on our glorious coastline between Highcliffe Castle and Friars Cliff.
The 24-acre site boasts outstanding views below and out across Hengistbury Head in one direction and the Isle of Wight in the other.
Adventure time
The fascinating nature reserve itself is made up of woodland and aquatic habitats, which are waiting to be explored with easy-to-follow trails.
If you’re taking the little ones, there’s an information centre (an award winning one, may we add), which offers lots of fun and activities for children.
You can also head down to the beach which is usually fairly quiet and makes for a stunning space to enjoy a dip in the sea, splash around or play in the sand.
There’s also plenty of benches and picnic areas, so be sure to pack a spot of lunch to enjoy while overlooking the sea. Perfection!
